Green Bean Almondine

Green Bean Almondine started as a joke between JoAnn Kerbawy (one of my closest friends in the world) and me when I lived in Miami. We wanted to start a tradition of healthy food that was good and good for you. We joked that our recipe would go viral and spread across the US and then the world. She always made it, so I never really learned how to. My Mom taught me how to cook, but she never made them this way either.

Bachelor Chef

In the Bachelor Chef, I’m starting to post a few food recipes that I make. I usually try to take food when going to a party.

My goals are:

  • healthy (relatively)
  • but still tastes good (NOT tofurkey or anything crazy like that)
  • feeds a large number of people (good for Wrap Parties)
  • not too difficult (or time-consuming to make)
  • affordable (I am a poor, starving actor)

My Mom is a very good Southern cook. I have many recipes from her and her sister, Lil. Our 2 families have always been very close. Lil had 3 girls that are roughly the same age as us 3 boys. I’m the baby – and they never let me forget it. 😉

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals for 2017

Great list of upcoming Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals from WPBeginner. Comment below if you find any other insanely great or useful deals. Of course, there is the HALF OFF/Soft Launch of my CraftYada where I teach people in the Entertainment Business the path of least resistance/Keep It Simple Stupid approach to building a website for their career.

Black Friday

Black Friday is an informal name for the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, the fourth Thursday of November, which has been regarded as the beginning of the country’s Christmas shopping season since 1952.

Most major retailers open very early, as early as overnight hours, and offer promotional sales. Black Friday is not an official holiday, but California and some other states observe “The Day After Thanksgiving” as a holiday for state government employees, sometimes in lieu of another federal holiday, such as Columbus Day.[2] Many non-retail employees and schools have both Thanksgiving and the following Friday off, which, along with the following regular weekend, makes it a four-day weekend, thereby increasing the number of potential shoppers.

Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. The term “Cyber Monday” was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online. The term was coined by Ellen Davis and Scott Silverman, and made its debut on November 28, 2005 in a Shop.org press release entitled “‘Cyber Monday’ Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year”.[1]

According to the Shop.org/Bizrate Research 2005 eHoliday Mood Study, “77 percent of online retailers said that their sales increased substantially on the Monday after Thanksgiving, a trend that is driving serious online discounts and promotions on Cyber Monday this year (2005)”.
