Synopsis

My Review
Completely blown away at how good this was! I’m not in the Target Demographic – I didn’t have or play with Barbies growing up. Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, and rest of cast hit it out of the park. America Ferrara brilliantly captures how hard it is to be a woman in today’s society. The performance of THAT monologue will be studied in future acting classes – and writing classes. Ryan Gosling had all the great laughs. I really liked Rhea Perlman’s performance at end as the creator of Barbie. It was a little long, but good stuff. The entire cast totally believed in the alternate world they lived in. It reminded me of Phoebe on Friends. Run, don’t walk, to see this.

Thank you to Mr Warner Brothers and Mr Mattel Films for giving me access to watch this via Digital Streaming so I could make an intelligent and informed opinion when casting my vote for the 30th Annual SAG Awards.
However, a big, sprawling movie like this should be seen on the Big Screen in a community setting. I wish you had a Screening for me or (at the very least) offered Movie Cash.
